SAP half day forum designed specifically for government leaders.
Government agencies across Australia face a common and persistent challenge: how to fund, justify, and sustain large-scale digital transformation in an environment defined by constrained budgets, risk aversion, and high accountability. Too often, transformation programs stall not because the technology is unavailable, but because the business case is not compelling enough. The risks of moving often feels too great, and the benefits realised during implementation are not captured and reinvested.
This half-day forum, hosted by SAP in Canberra, is designed specifically for senior government leaders, program executives, and transformation practitioners. In this forum we’ll demonstrate how SAP's Business Transformation Management (BTM) integrated toolchain can be used to deliver successful change and improvement across agencies. Bringing together process intelligence, enterprise architecture, and application lifecycle management, alongside testing and data quality-led digital adoption, it provides a practical approach to delivering measurable value that can fund future investment cycles.
Throughout the day we’ll cover three key themes:
· De-risking the system move
· Activating the Value Office to build compelling internal business cases
· Building organisational muscle for continuous improvement
Attendees will leave with practical frameworks, real-world evidence, and a clear understanding of how to position a self-funding engine within their agency.
This is not a product showcase. It is a strategic conversation about how government agencies can use modern tools to take control of their own investment narrative — and make the case, clearly and confidently, for what comes next.

We’ll share the day's objectives, the three themes that will be covered, and why self-funding digital change is now a strategic imperative for government agencies.
The Government Transformation Dilemma
It’s time to have a frank conversation about the barriers that prevent government agencies from moving forward — funding constraints, risk exposure, and the difficulty of building internal conviction. Mobin will introduce the strategic case for using BTM as a self-funding mechanism and positions the integrated toolchain as the connective tissue of successful transformation.
De-Risking the Move to RISE with SAP
Projit will give an end-to-end agent led toolchain demonstration, showing how Signavio, LeanIX, Cloud ALM, Tricentis, Syniti and WalkMe work together to map, govern, test, and adopt change. He’ll also share how poor testing practices have undermined past SAP implementations — and how to prevent that in your agency. Includes emerging capabilities: Corporate Memory, Agent Analytics, and the LeanIX AI Agent Hub.
Activating the Value Office — Building the Business Case to Self-Fund
This practical session is on how to establish and operate a Value Office within a government context. Parul will cover how to identify, measure, and communicate the value of transformation to secure ongoing internal investment and demonstrate how agencies can use BTM-generated insights to present a self-funding model that resonates with finance and executive stakeholders.
Building Corporate Muscle for Continuous Improvement
How can agencies sustain transformation gains beyond a single programme cycle. Tracey covers the concept of building organisational capability — the processes, governance, and culture required to continuously improve and reinvest. She’ll also discuss the work already being done across government and other sectors to show what 'corporate muscle' looks like in practice.
Crafting the Future: The SAP Signavio and SAP LeanIX Roadmap
This forward-looking session offers attendees a direct view of what’s coming next in SAP Signavio and SAP LeanIX. Brett will cover the near and medium-term roadmap for both platforms — including company memory, process intelligence, AI-assisted optimisation, and enterprise architecture integration including AI governance. The aim is to show how upcoming capabilities reinforce the self-funding model discussed throughout the day. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask direct questions of SAP product and solution experts
Wrap Up and Next Steps
We’ll wrap things up with a summary of key takeaways and share available resources, provide an opportunity for you to continue the conversation with our team and how SAP's team can support your agency in applying these approaches. Light networking to follow.
