LeanIX and Lucidchart: Partnership to Turn IT Architecture Planning into Reality

Direct Integration Between LeanIX Enterprise Architecture Suite and Lucidchart Visualizations Translates Strategic IT Planning into Actionable Solution Architectures

Boston MA – May 20, 2020 - LeanIX, a provider of Software-as-a-Service solutions in Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM), today announced a partnership and a product integration with Lucidchart, the leading visual workspace that combines diagramming, collaboration and data visualization.

The LeanIX-Lucidchart integration officially launches today at EA Connect Day, the leading peer conference for Enterprise Architecture. The out-of-the-box integration allows enterprise architects to choose Lucidchart as a third diagram type, to take advantage of its wide range of diagram templates and shape libraries. Enterprise and Solution Architects can now start complex diagrams in LeanIX and apply Lucidchart’s in-depth visualization feature set, allowing them to be more effective in translating strategic IT planning into action.

Starting today, the product integration will be available at no additional cost for LeanIX and Lucidchart business subscribers. This integration opens up capabilities for Enterprise Architects and now Solution Architects as they leverage the EA data more deeply and connect it to their solution architectures. Users will be able to:

  • Select Lucidchart as an available Diagram type in their LeanIX workspaces.
  • Import existing Lucidchart documents into LeanIX and link them directly to Fact Sheets, LeanIX’s proprietary EA data source.
  • Convert LeanIX Diagrams into Lucidchart documents, applying Lucidchart’s rich features for styling visualizations.
  • Preview, open, and edit LeanIX documents in Lucidchart.
  • Integrate and collaborate via commonly used project management and productivity software platforms like Atlassian, Microsoft Office, G Suite, Slack, and others.

“We’re thrilled to partner with LeanIX to help businesses and technical leaders use diagramming and data visualization to see and understand IT scenarios so they can accelerate the pace of innovation across their organizations,” said Karl Sun, CEO and co-founder at Lucidchart. “Through this integration, we’re excited to offer LeanIX users Lucidchart’s best in class diagramming platform to visualize enterprise architecture data."

“Creating a future-proof enterprise architecture is becoming more critical yet more challenging in times of rapid change. Solutions for visualizing and collaborating on complex IT systems are essential to drive better decisions,” said André Christ, co-founder and CEO at LeanIX. “Lucidchart is trusted by 99% of Fortune 500 enterprises and used by 20 million people, which makes it a fantastic gateway to LeanIX. The combination of Lucidchart and LeanIX ensures effective and strategic IT planning by making sure EA data is translated and linked to the solution architecture.”
