We're thrilled to announce that LeanIX has, once again, been recognized as a Leader for enterprise architecture tools in the 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant. We feel this validates our continued growth and success since last year.
From our 500th employee to our 1,000th customer, and on to our planned acquisition by SAP, our 2023 growth has been phenomenal. This continued success has been driven by the value of the LeanIX toolset, which is why SAP will soon offer our software as part of their business transformation platform.
We feel the business value of the LeanIX toolset is also the reason why Gartner has recognized us as a Leader in their Magic Quadrant for the third year running. Let's look more closely at what the Magic Quadrant is, and why it recognized LeanIX.
What Is The Gartner Magic Quadrant?
Magic Quadrant provides a graphical competitive positioning of four types of technology providers, in markets where growth is high and provider differentiation is distinct:
- Leaders execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow
- Visionaries understand where the market is going or have a vision for changing market rules, but do not yet execute well
- Niche players focus successfully on a small segment, or are unfocused and do not out-innovate or outperform others

We're delighted for Gartner to have, once again, placed us as a Leader in their Magic Quadrant for enterprise architecture tools. We feel this recognizes that LeanIX has a keen grasp of the enterprise architecture market and that we have the capability to realize our vision for the future.

SAP Acquisition
On September 7, 2023, multinational enterprise software giant, SAP entered into an agreement to acquire LeanIX. SAP plans to leverage LeanIX software to expand its business transformation portfolio, giving customers access to the full suite of tools required for continuous business transformation and facilitating AI-enabled process optimization.
We see the move as an investment in the potential of LeanIX software to drive business transformation forward. We'll continue to support our customers with innovative enterprise architecture tools, even as we support SAP customers in intelligent business transformation.

The Potential Of Generative AI

In April, 2023, we announced that Mars signed on as our 1000th customer. Mars joined an incredible list of clients including Adidas, Discover Financial Services, Doctolib, Paysafe, Volkswagen AG, Workday, and many more.

500th LeanIX Employee
In February, 2023, we welcomed David Wiske, a new Senior Business Development Representative, and our 500th employee. This milestone was an indication of our continued growth, and our investment in the best talent to drive our vision forward.
